I recently stayed at Econo Lodge for two nights while visiting Watkins Glen for a hiking trip. The room rate was affordable at $72 per night and the check-in process was pleasant with a friendly clerk. The staff was nice and the air conditioning worked well during my stay.

I must mention that there were some downsides to my experience. upon check-in, I was surprised to learn that a $150 deposit was being held from my account for potential damages.

The rooms are brand-new and spotless and complete with microwave and the bathroom, for example. It has a particularly good and perfect location close to the construction out in front, the local supermarket, and stores and eateries. There's Dunkin' offering takeout at walking distance from the venue.

It was comfortable and clean.

Definitely needs remodeling. Shower area was much too small. My husband could hardly fit in toilet/shower area. I am small and had no room in that area.

Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. Staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the pillows were nice!

I was in the non-smoking room and sometimes I could smell cigarette smoke coming into the room.
